1) What do you think of when you hear the word “church”?

2) Read Ephesians 5:25-30. Why do you think Paul described the church as the Bride of Christ? How then should we treat the church?

3) Read Hebrews 10:24-25. How can we motivate one another “to acts of love and good works?”

4) How does your involvement with a local group of believers (the church) help you not to drift spiritually?

5) Read Ephesians 4:11-16. How can you build up the church?

6) What next step do you need to take in order to be more committed to the church? Attending more regularly? Volunteering in some capacity? Participating in men’s or women’s ministries? Joining a small group? Financially partnering? etc.

1) How would you describe your weekly schedule? Do you feel stressed, anxious, or spread too thin because of all you have to do in a small amount of time?

2) On Sunday, we talked about how “we have all the time we need to be as close to Jesus as we want”. Do you feel like you are prioritizing time with Jesus?

3) What feelings come to mind when you think of fasting?

4) Read Matthew 6:16-18. Why do you think that Jesus would have assumed we would fast? Is there any good reasons not to?

5) Read Hebrews 11:1. How can fasting lead us to a deeper faith?

6) What is something that you could fast from in order to have a deeper relationship with Christ. Who can you ask to hold you accountable to this?

6) Has God ever answered your prayers? What was that like to you and what did it do to your faith?

1) Have you made a New Years resolution for 2019? How do you plan to accomplish that goal?

2) Read Philippians 3:7-9. How can everything else in this world be considered “worthless” when compared to valuing Christ?

3) Read Matthew 24:35. How have you seen Jesus’ words/the Word of God stand the test of time?

4) How has the Bible been a guide in your life? What would your life look like without access to the Bible?

5) Do you believe God’s Word/The Bible can serve as a weapon? Have you seen this to be true in your life?

6) Have you set a Bible reading goal for 2019? How often do you want to be studying the Word of God? Ask someone close to you to hold you accountable to this!
